nu mai pot = I cannot? it doesn't really make any sense... shouldn't it be something along the lines of "I cannot go on any longer" or at least "I cannot anymore"? (though the latter is still not a very good translation...)

yeap, if you look closer, after "I cannot" comes "I cannot endure anymore".... Besides "I cannot go any longer, I cannot endure any more"? This is a little bit repetitive.

but if you take "I cannot" and "nu mai pot" separately, you'll realize they don't mean the same thing... well, at least that's what I think.
