What is put in a coffin is a suicide victim not a "case of suicide" therefore it should be:
"Too many suicide victims to be put into coffins..."

What do you think?

yes you are right. I had thought about that while I was translating the text. the original text refers to the suicide cases rather than the committers of it, however it is more proper to refer to those people in the English version of the text....

"tellement de suicides" => "so many suicides"
"coffins" in British English or "caskets" in American English.
"There are so many suicides and not enough coffins for all of them..."
