Azitrad, isn't it better "schoolmates" or "classmates"? Then, instead of "compromises", I would suggest "concessions".

It should be classmates, colleagues is used at work, not in school (can be checked
here
).
And concessions is more suitable in that context, compromise implies both sides and here is only about the person who writes the text.
