When you have everything, what ...
Text
Submitted by desilozanova
Source language: English

When you have everything, what could you possibly desire?
The one you loved the most!

Title
Cum omnia tibi sint...
Translation
Latin

Translated by alexfatt
Target language: Latin

Quid fortasse cupias, cum omnia tibi sint?
Quod maxime amavisti!
Remarks about the translation
"cum omnia tibi sint?" or "cum nulla re careas?" (the latter, literally "when you are lacking in nothing", seems to me more likely to be said by a Latin native speaker)

Ciao amico!

Quodne cupias?

Why Alex? Why "-ne"?

possibly --> fortasse

Oh, really?

I looked it up in my dictionary and it said that -ne, placed after the first word of a question, can be translated as "forse" (maybe, possibly in Italian) .

I find myself translating questions quite rarely (our professor gives us mostly texts about wars and philosophical stuff), so I accept with pleasure your suggestion.

Dziękuję bardzo

I guess we attract each other in some way.Hehe! That's way we work on the same translations in the same time.
