Last messages | | | | | 15 October 2007 15:02 | | | This is all wrong!! I don't know how so many people accepted this translation!
The right translation should be:
"Blessed and happy holiday".
Saeed is indeed a name, but in this case it means: "happy".
Usually "blessed" (mubarak)is in use when refering to the "Ramadan" month. | | | 15 October 2007 19:15 | | | Thanks for noticing, you're right - it's all wrong...! I was thinking in Persian... "Mubarak" in Persian is used for every holiday from "Eid" to birthdays to New Years, and its meaning in those cases is usually translated into English as "Happy ______."
Should've written: "Happy Blessed Holiday"
Thanks, again... | | | 15 October 2007 23:21 | | | Saeed means happy as well, so it could mean: Happy and blessed Eid, or Blessed Eid, Saeed, but it is definitely not Happy Eid Saeed. | | | 16 October 2007 03:32 | | | Wow, slfauver! You are so multi-languages!!! You know so much of them! It's great!
And I'm glad I could help.
Elmota (as in "the death"??), offtopic, if you want I can translate your profile into Hebrew.
Happy holiday (or weekend) you all,
