In Danish it's written: "IF I had" .

Looking at the french text, I would say:

"If I had abandoned
what was bad
for what was good
much earlier,
Then I had done something good
And that would not have been so bad."

But I'm not sure if it's better this way, I proposed like this because "which" sounds weird to me here.
