"üzgünüm" is better I think..because, "üzüldüm" refers to the past.

I agree with the comments that üzgünüm is better, so I changed it. As for "affedersiniz", that's also possible, but "excuse me" can mean "özür dilerim", and the note under the original says that the person wants to apologize to someone.
