Sæl Andrea.

Ég tala ágæta ensku, en skrifa hana ekki vel. Vinkona mín sem hefur búið hérna í 10 ár hefur verið að hjálpa mér að sækja um vinnu í Noregi. Ég hef verið að nota translator til að skrifa bréf.

Hello Andrea.

I speak English quite well, but I'm not that good at writing it. My friend who has lived here for 10 years has helped me look for work in Norway. I've been using a translator to write letters.
Best wishes

Hi Pia

I suggest some changes for the first line.
What about:

I speak English quite well, but I'm not that good at writing it

Also:
"to search for work " would sound better as:
"look for a job" (no "to" after "help" )

Perhaps "I've used a translator to write this letter"

What do you think?

Yes, you are right, "skrifa" = "to write" ... and the rest sounds good too. Thanks a lot Lilian, I'll edit.

......translator to write letters. Or .....translator to write a letter.

You are right, thanks kreinar!

It's not about THIS letter, may I correct Lilian?

If it's not "this" letter, we'd better change the verb tense into:

"I've been using a translator to write letters."

kreinar is right, it isn't "this letter"

lilian's last suggestion is correct.
