Credo che il senso della traduzione sia correttto anche se io tradurrei l'ultimo pezzo con "love is never a mistake", perché secondo me nell'originale il soggetto è l'amorein generale e non il fatto che la persona abbia amato.

May be it'll be better to say : "If you've played..." but not "If you've tricked..."

@azitrad: not anymore.
@Guzel_R: I don't think one can "play" on love, I can't figure it as a game. As "giocare" has a wide range of senses in Italian, I've sticked to a meaning that would fit better the context.
