Because someone translate also an "suo" that there isn't in the latin version...

I've found an English version of this phrase, and it was translated like this:

"His wide-ranging ambition was boundless beyond belief, always reaching for things beyond his grasp."

I'm not sure which is the most accurate translation.

It's really beyond me! I am not that good in Latin...
