A força é singular = the force.

Is "destrói" in the subjunctive? If so, it should be "could destroy" or "would destroy". If not, it should be "destroy" - the subject is "forces" which is plural (although I don't know why). Also, "force" is better than "ravages".

As a matter of fact, "destrói" is not in the subjunctive, "destrua" would be.
