To have the translation you've suggested the original text should have been:

"Eu sou para minha amada, tão bem quanto minha amada é para mim."

That would be terrible portuguese, don't you agree?

assim como: as well as, just as, such as.

I am to my beloved the same my beloved is to me.
Eu sou para o meu amado o mesmo que o meu amado é para mim.

It's seems a bit different.
