No, that would give a different meaning.
To be 'willing' means: feel like doing/want to do something, not that one is ready to accept doing it if we have to.

Right. I don't think the translation is wrong. As there isn't any context I don't think it's the best, either.
"Dad loves you baby, and for you he is ready to suffer."
To me sounds like 'dad' is in a situation where he has to suffer. Anyways, just thought I'd give my 10 cents.
